I have Fibromyalgia, but I originally needed to lose weight to have surgery. I am continuing to lose weight more to stop my mobility from getting worse, as long as I can get out and about I'm happy. Losing weight will make you feel a lot better, even it only helps with depression and self worth. The key thing is to accept your illness and try to and make the best of it, losing weight and keeping as active as you can will make a huge difference
I have Fibro, and some days are worse than others, pain in joints back and so on, I try to keep active, though must admit I suffer terrible depression, and pain killers do me no good now, only get Paracetamol and ibrufen to rub in, I get tired, my house is a mess, I have no energy, then I can't get to sleep for pain, and fidgeting because of irritable leg syndrome, I am so tired, I am 8st 2ib and not over weight , this and more I am told is all part of this Fibro, can any one offer some advise please.
Hi - I am no doctor and can't make medical claims. I can only tell you what I have heard and seen. A lady named Amme Warden (in the States) had fibromyalgia and had
to use a walker to get around. She lost 110lbs with the help of a fitness programme and a daily protein shake, and she is now able to walk 5 miles a day. I am telling you this, because I have used the same protein shakes for about 2 months now. For the first time in years, I have lots of energy, I lose fat at a healthy rate, and my body feels happy and balanced. Combination of exercise, healthy eating, protein shakes, water....it has really helped me a lot! If you want to investigate this more, let me know, and I will point you in the right direction.
