Fibromyalgia / weight loss

I’ve just posted a message re restless legs

But I have had fibromyalgia for over 35 years.

I bought a secondhand Springfree Trampoline about 12 years ago , it doesn’t have to be Springfree, they are all less impact on our joints.

I only have a small amount of energy a day

Some days being a lot worse than others,

I happened to look up the 17 benefits of trampolining, not the bullet points version.

It’s amazing. Apart from gentle un jarring

Exercise it makes me feel happy all day,

I jump for about 50 seconds then rest then repeat, I do this up to 6 times daily,

It’s 68% more beneficial than jogging.

Also as listed my varicose veins in my legs have Permanently disappeared.

It’s all over body weight loss, and really good for your immune system, too many to list

(Look it up). In a nutshell I’m feeling less aches and pains, not as anxious and happier.

Any trampoline will do, there are small ones to keep indoors, they have a support rail on too.

Re the weight loss, I don’t diet , hence I still eat my favourite goodies, obviously in moderation.

Hello Luna and welcome,

Thank you for sharing :) I have a small trampoline that my son bought me years ago. I have never used it, worried I won't stay on it lol. It doesn't have a support rail. Maybe I should un earth it and have a go.

Pleased to hear you don't diet, they don't work.

Are you trying to loose weight or have you reached a weight you are happy with? Would you like to become a member of our forum or are you just passing through? Which ever it is, you are very welcome here :)

Could you place your trampoline at the bottom of your staircase and hold the bannister rail for support? xx

I’m on the lookout for a mini trampoline !

Not enough space unfortunately. I’m sure I could rig something up. 😊

Hi Luna

Welcome, I too have fibromyaigia and also sarcoidosis, I may just try this out as I used to love the trampoline when I was much younger. I have lost weight already but I know if I just have a little more to work with this will help. I hate the fact that these sickness take away so much of us and I really want to try to feel a little more Healthy. Thanks for the tip
