I turned 39 yesterday, and don't want to be fat and 40 next year. So I am giving myself 49 weeks to lose 49 lbs. day one, and 1320 calories consumed. It will be hard, but worth it!
Day 1: I turned 39 yesterday, and don't... - Weight Loss Support
Day 1
Welcome
..and go to it-a pound a week is very doable -I am doing the slow pound a week -but they do add up.
Best of luck
good luck mrs h, we will be with you all the way x
Good for you, I've just started week 5 and have lost 4 lbs but also 2 inches from my waist and hips. I found that I had to cut the calories below 1400 as I'm not so active as I'd like to be because of mobility problems. I've tried to do more exercise, grass cutting is very good for the waistline even though I'm bent double after doing it!
I wasn't losing much at first but every little helps and it depends so much on willpower but I have a wedding to look forward to so the incentive is there.
Keep it up!
Hi MrsH74,
Well, if it helps, I thought - before I started - that it would be hell (at least) and it would be like some dreadful punishment for all those years of eating too much and of eating so much rubbish.
But it just hasn't been like that at all.
Futhermore, I now feel great ust going about my business in this lighter, slimmer body, having shed about 24 kgs or so which isn't all that much more than you're planning to shed.
I mean it is just so nice to not have to cart around that 'excess' 50 odd pounds with me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
So, I reckon, once you get into the new ways, it'll not be all that hard at all.
Good luck with your weight loss journey.
how long did it take you to lose 24kg? for us (me and my husband) it is the exercise bit which is not happening. he is 70 but has always been very academic (ie not at all physical) and I am 65 in november but still work as a carer 3 days a week for 6 hrs (damn hard work, but not aerobic). we both just want to lose a few kg, but wish we could incorporate the exercise to the diet. the wish just remain a wish though..so lazy! btw we live in a top floor flat with no lift, so 44 stairs to climb up and down every day. thankful for it, or else we really would be woefully lacking in exercise.
Good luck, a pound a week is great
