Suffering with PCSO

Me and my partner have been together 11 years. I am now 26 years old. We’ve always wanted a baby and I’ve always wanted to be a mother and I know he would be an incredible dad… I was diagnosed with PCSO when I was a teen, and obviously no hope in getting pregnant although I get my periods regularly every month I’ve had no chance of experiencing a beautiful thing of being pregnant and now I’m 26 and not getting any younger. I’m now also on a waiting list to see a gynaecologist don’t know when or how long, I’m very nervous because I just can’t think of a positive outcome for me because I always feel like I have no luck in life. I can’t lose hope there is still time but there’s always what if at the back of my mind? Or what will happen? I’ve never been to see a gynaecologist before so I don’t know what they would say? what could possibly happen? what would they do to help me?. Not only that I’m also so afraid to grow old alone because I think if I couldn’t give my partner a baby I would never stand in his way from having one with someone else because it wouldn’t be fair to stop him having a baby of his own just because I couldn’t.. although he loves me very much it wouldn’t be right to hold him back from a beautiful precious thing like this.

Thankyou for taking the time to message me and for all the information. I will have a look through this herbal medicine and take it from there (:

If you have PCOS diagnosis you can argue with your GP to measure key hormones to see if your body is ovulating. You might be having your period but not actually ovulating. I would advise doing LH strip tests (but results can be hard to interpret due to PCOS).Also make sure you take a high dose of vitD (between 75ug and 150ug per day), and folic acid to prepare for pregnancy. And make sure your BMI is as close to "healthy" as possible (below 25!).

I know it's hard, but stress really does affect your hormones, so try to talk with your partner about it and feel reassured that lots of women with PCOS are able to get pregnant (even if it's way harder than for non-PCOS). You are starting in a good age, so keep going! I'm currently trying to conceive and looking at inositol supplements, so I'll let you know if I find something useful!
