Periods have been irregular since taking Pregnacare

My period used to always arrive every 28 days however since I started taking pregnacare vitamins last year it has became more irregular. I stopped taking pregnacare after a few months however my periods have never returned to ‘normal’. I now find my period varies each month from 26-30 days. I went to my GP about it and I was having some pain in between my periods (not now though) and my concern regarding the pregnacare was dismissed. She went on to examine me and told me it was ‘wind’ and I was perhaps constipated. Never had any issues with my bowels. I’m a bit reluctant to go back to the GP because of this but as my husband and I are TTC I think I’ll have to. Does this sound like it could be PCOS?

Thanks
