Surprise..

So after being told I’m not ovulating, I was preparing myself for my laparoscopy and ovarian drilling. I’d missed a period but didn’t think anything of it as this was quite normal for me. But yesterday morning I woke up with awful stomach pains and decided I had nothing to lose in taking a pregnancy test.. As I did the test expecting the normal negative I was left in complete shock when 2 lines appeared clear as day!!! I immediately went to the pharmacy to get a clear blue test only for those to tell me that I am pregnant and 3+ weeks!!!!! I went on a due date calculator and it put me at 6 weeks and due in January!!

I know it’s very early days but I never thought this would ever happen to me. I’m booked in with my doctor next week.

Here’s hoping everything is ok with the little one🌹

YEY congratulations - it is normal to have period type cramps and some bleeding so dont feel the worst if you do get them.

Thank you! Ok, I haven’t had any bleeding yet but quite bad cramps! Do you know how pcos can affect a pregnancy?

There is no increased risk of miscarriage or anything, they thought there was but further research shows this isnt the case. I suppose gestational diabetes could be a risk so dont eat for england!!

Fantastic news and ditto!!! Having had tubal patency test, 1 induced period for investigations, then one period that turned up on its own (first since October) we’d bitten the bullet and with our parents support had booked a private apt with a fertility specialist - losing the plot with the ‘we’ll see you in 3 months’ theory. On holiday with my mum this week and she’d said just do a test before we go - just in case - and 2 tests positive!!!! Bought another one here in Madeira and yep! 3+ weeks. Hubby had left for work before I did test so haven’t even seen him yet. (He does know!) feel so lucky, and so scared, booked one of those scans that you can get at 6 weeks, for when I get back. Only thing I’ve done differently is the Inofolic - been taking for 2 months now. Good luck with everything and fingers crossed xxxx

Yey obviously a good year - I still have my 3 pregnancy tests from almost 13 years ago - sometimes takes a while to get there but Noah is so worth it :-)

So remember cramps and some blood is perfectly NORMAL, bump is settling into a comfy position for the long haul.

Not too bad thank you! Feeling very sick a lot of the time but I’m just grateful to be having this experience. I have my first midwife appointment Wednesday xx

Fantastic, likewise very sick! Went for early scan yesterday only 6 1/2 weeks which is less than I thought but saw a heartbeat! Have booked with midwife so hopefully will see soon. Good luck with your appointment xx
