PCOS diagnosis

Hello, so I got tested for PCOS and have received my results two days go. I am positive for PCOS. My hormone levels are normal but I have cysts on both my ovaries. There is no really treatment option, my doctor said I can go on birth control if i wanted to but it is not a necessity so im unsure about it at the moment. I am not really asking for any specific advice more of any general advice. I have been researching a lot but would love to actually hear from people experiencing pcos.

Thank you!

The combined contraceptive pill can keep the symptoms under control and even more so if you take 3 months on the trot, it is important to have 4 periods a year to keep your uterus health. I was on the combined pill on and off for about 30 years and it made life much easier, especially controlling all the symptoms.
