Norethisterone weight gain

Hi is it true weight gain u gain whiles on norethisterone I've been taking it since November back to back packs due to very heavy prolonged periods and I'm on it till 12th feb I'm just wondering has anyone else gain weight on them as I'm so depressed due to looking bloated everyday and puffy I hate weight gain as it make me depressed I've gain 8lbs whiles on it and I dont eat alot of food and dont have an increased appetite neither on them so idk what this weight is or if it's down to the norethisterone or me can you lose weight still on norethisterone if so please can someone help me please thanks

Not sure as not heard of someone staying on it - I went on the combined pill which kept the weight in check and took 3 months on the trot

Weight usually fluctuates when on a period so if you’ve had a prolonged period it might just be the hormones knocking you off balance

I'm on norethisterone due to heavy prolonged periods 3 months I'm on it for back to back to see if it can help regulate my cycles but tbh its helped with stopping my periods but the weight gain is a problem as idk if its actual weight gain or water weight gain I've gained 8lbs and tbh I dont eat much due to extreme bloating I get and it's always been small portions daily the weight gain always happens when I take norethisterone I hate it but I hope I can lose it once I come off it after 12th feb
