Hi guys I’ve recently been diagnosed with PCOS and I’m desperately trying to lose weight,I’m 34 and newly married and would love another child any success stories?? Still awaiting a scan but all bloods and period irregularities indicate PCOS doc said plus I’ve gained 3 stones in a year

Hello Stevenjames 1

I am sorry to hear you are struggling and completely understand. I put on weight very easily too, I find normal weight loss methods don't work for me. With pcos it can be beneficial to avoid white carbs as they make our insulin go crazy. I have found eating a natural diet of colourful vegetables, fish, chicken, meat and buckwheat and Quinoa. I have also gone gluten and dairy free. I try not to eat sugar too. Our western diet seems really at odds with me. I hope you find this helpful. I have also cut down my portion sizes. Xx

Yes thanks, I don't really know about that tbh.

It may be you aren't getting enough carbs or nutrition or it maybe you are still quite down, that can take the zing away, i have taken a tonic and that can help. X

look at 'theanswertopcos' diet - they have over 1500 babies conceived after following this diet - I was not ttc when I did it but I lost 3 stone and have maintained it for the last 8 years (fluctuate by a stone). I also knew two ladies doing it at the same time as me and both lost 7 stone in a year and conceived naturally.

Obviously not every diet suits every person, I personally found the diet really easy, I had a 2 year old as well and he was quite happy on it (I supplemented it with extra carbs etc) and my husband enjoyed it too.

The one thing I would say is since following the diet I very rarely bloat any more so it somehow seemed to solve that so I no longer look 8 months pregnant!!
