Hello, I was diagnosed with pcos last month, I put on quite a bit of weight before I knew but I did manage to lose a little bit after Christmas just by eating healthier and doing more exercise but I did find it difficult at first. It would be nice to talk to others with the same problems x
hi thank you for replying i try to eat healthier but nothing seems to work for me and exercise is not happening at the moment what excercise do you do? maybe i can do the same
So sorry for not replying! After 9 months I'm glad to say I kept off the weight I lost but I want to continue to lose a bit more. All I was going was going to the gym, 30 mins cross trainer and then bike for 15mins and 50-80 reps on various weight machines. I try do this 3 times a week minimum and I feel really good for doing it!
I also have PCOS, and struggle to lose weight. I am currently following the NHS weight loss plan (1400 calories a day) and exercise 5 times a week. This seems to be getting it off!
Hi, I try to eat healthily by cutting on processed food and sugary snacks. I eat home made meals with good quality ingredients, preferably organic although tbh, this is not always the case and I have cut on gluten and dairy.
With regards to exercise, I do not know if there is a type of exercise that is more beneficial to PCOS than others. I just keep it varied by joining different classes at my local gym and I try to go at least twice per week.
I hope this is useful.
