I'm in a similar situation. I've been at Slimming World since October and am 6lbs down, though I wonder if I could be trying harder. Now that I'm diagnosed (December) I'm doing what I can to change that. I aim to lose at least 7 stone in the next 1.5 years (getting married Nov 17!), but it seems so far away.
I recently got in contact with a consultant with PCOS who advised to follow the Slimming World plan but try having carbs just once a day. Others on here might suggest a gluten free diet.
I'll try the low carb thing and get back to you. Will see if it works!
I've recently started the Cambridge diet and this is really working for me because I don't have to think about food, so have been less tempted to snack and binge.
