Has anyone had their eggs frozen before starting Cyclophosphamide infusions?

Hello,

I was never given a choice to freeze my eggs (although I have no children, would like them eventually and got married in the middle of falling ill - literally I was let out of holiday abroad to get married and then spent my wedding night in a hospital bed!) I was, however, told of the dangers of infertility but was so ill by that point that it was insinuated that Cyclo was the only option if I wanted to get better. I knew the risks but I never knew freezing eggs was a possibility - in hindsight I would have done this.

I have had tests of my ovarian function recently, since finishing Cyclo infusions, and I get the results next week so I have everything crossed that the pulses didn't take away my choice to have kids in the future.

Best wishes,

Sarah

Hia!

I was diagnosed when I was 30 an asked 2 have my eggs frozen at the time but they said I was too ill so had to take the oral Cyclo. I then had relapses which then I had the infusions of Cyclo and after this I went for IVF which failed twice. After this in 2010 I adopted 2 fantastic children which I love dearly an I had a miscarriage 4 month after they came! Since this again this year on 12.01.12 I had a little boy named James, so now we have 3 children and we are over the moon! So I guess what I'm trying to say is there is hope after all when things all around you fail!

Good luck which ever way you go!
