Likely date range for Scottish Spring booster appointments for immunosuppressed

I've just been reading the Scottish Chief Medical Officer's latest communication to the Scottish NHS re the Spring Booster campaign. Here is a key part:

"The spring programme begins on the 27 March 2023, starting with residents of care homes for older adults and the housebound. Community appointments for those aged 75 years and over will begin on 11 April. The next group to be called will be those with a weakened immune system, whose appointments will begin on 24 April. The newly clinically at risk aged 5-49 years, who have not completed their primary course, will be sent letters, emails or texts, prompting them to book an appointment later in programme."

So Scottish immunosuppressed people under 75 should expect to get appointments for sometime on or after 24th April. The document goes on to say we will be sent timed appointments, presumably blue letters again in the post. Though our appointments may also show up sooner in the online Scottish appointments portal.

This is the situation in Scotland. The situation in other parts of the UK is being handled separately.

I’ve only actively researched Scotland, but here is the latest information for England:

Googling might also find the info for Wales and Northern Ireland.

Thanks so much for this update. I'm disappointed that we CEV under 75s have a longer wait than is ideal - especially because I have a procedure followed by infusions before the 24th April and really hoped to get my vaccine sooner. But good to have the info on Scotland from you because I've been unable to source it elsewhere.

My appointment has just showed up in the Scottish vaccination website vacs.nhs.scot though I haven't had an email notification yet. Expect a blue letter in the post in the coming weeks. My vaccine is booked for early June. I'm relieved it's some months off. My cerebral vasculitis is very unstable and flares appallingly for 3 long months after every Covid vaccine (has happened 6 times already). I will be glad to have some respite before vaccine #7!
