Reactions to latest vaccines

Has anyone had any bad reactions to the latest modified Pfizer Covid Vaccine? The only one of the 4 vaccines I've had that i didn't suffer really bad reactions was Moderna but thats been modified and it's not available where I live anyway. Hence the concern.

yes after third vaccination which was Pfizer - i waited for 15 mins to make sure all was well but on my drive home my heart went into overtime- very scarry as I was driving and my arm felt strange- after rest all back to normal.

we both had the Moderna one. OH in bed for the day I felt as if I’d got a hangover ( I hadn’t) it’s the only one I have felt unwell after.

Hi Oldharry, I have had 4 x Pfizer and 2 x Moderna and they have just zonked me out after a few hours and felt absolutely done for the next day. The worst reaction I had was to Sotrovimab after I caught Covid. I tell everybody something I have never had body pain like it, it lasted for 4 days, so painful I couldn’t even lay down.

I have the modified Pfizer yesterday. Sore arm and maybe a little bit time more tired than usual but so far, so good.

I had two Moderna no problem but the three Phizer have made me unwell getting worse after each one. The last one I had vomiting diarrhoea and delirium lasting 24 hours and weakness exhaustion another few days. I’m due my 6 th in Friday but I’m nervous about having it but also not having it.

Hi, I had really nasty reactions to the first two Pfizers and was so apprehensive about my third. Then I was told to take two paracetamols 30 minutes before the vaccine by my then new doctor. I really could not believe the difference. It was so much better. It clearly works as premed given just as before any infusion therapy at the hospital. If you have no choice but Pfizer, please consider taking paracetamols beforehand. Hope it will work well for you.

Hi. My first two were AZ which I was fine after other than a sore arm. Number three was Pfizer again no problem. After number 4 which was also Pfizer I was out of sorts for a day. In August I had number 5 this time Moderna. This time I was unwell for a couple of days with fever like symptoms. I use a Fitbit which I appreciate isn’t medical standard but my resting heart rate is usually in the 55-58 range but for a couple of days it was around 63 which hasn’t happened previously. I have GPA and take mycophenolate.

I had a very bad reaction to the first Moderna. Four months before I was OK . So have not had any since. However I also have myeloma and the stats from Dana Farber in Boston show with myeloma I only get 5.6% protection. Good Luck.

For what it’s worth I’ve had PMR 6 years. Also P-ANCA positive for 6 years with MPO antibodies. No vasculitis diagnosis yet but in the process of hopefully getting a more expert consultant to review my patient files. (Boston area USA)

My responses were—

First two Pfizer shots a few days mild chills, head pains and low grade fever. Arm was not sore.

Pfizer boster one: All together five+ days of fever just shy of 102 degrees, terrible chills and body aches, random shooting pains in my head. Arm was not sore.

I just had the new bivalent Pfizer jab. Side effects arrived 15 hours later. 100 degree fever. Intense chills and severe body aches. Very sore arm. Chills subsided first. Fever broke next. All side effects gone within 36 hours.
