Hi all, something that has slipped my mind but it’s been 6 months since I had my last Covid Vaccine. Are the Immune Deficient still eligible? If so how do we do it, is it via 119, or do we go to a walk in or are we referred (I hope not GPs hopeless) the online service doesn't allow bookings any more any info would be great. Nick.

Hi Nick,

I understand that the national Covid vaccine programme finished on 31st January. I got my jab just before it ended and the pharmacist said he wasn’t sure what the new vaccine system would be. He thought it would be like the current annual flu jab system.

Haven't looked into it yet... got an email as I registered for updates when the whole covid hoo-hah started - and never go round to cancelling them.

Hopefully the NHS will publish something soon... I'll keep my eye out.. and let you know,

This seems to be all there is at present -

No I’m fine thanks - I did have GCA -but in remission September 2016 . I’m still on a few forums- this one, a couple of OA ones - but mainly PMRGCAuk..

My GP gave me one together with flu, pneumonia and the first Shingrix. From asking around I believe a fair bit of postcode lottery here but I did get an email from nhs prompting me. To be honest given a bit of bad press about risks of the vaccine it's all about balancing risk. My view up to now has been why wouldn't you. On the flip side all mine have been either Pfizer or Moderna. The fact that Astra Zeneca and that one jab option have just disappeared without publicity makes me think that perhaps I won't have any more. Everyone should have the option and it's then choice.
