Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) and tauroursodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA)
The paper below is the most detailed and well referenced I have read regarding UDCA and TUDCA. Incredibly thorough. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10258966/#CR128

I could not take Azapriothine or Methotrexate but have settled reasonably happily with a daily routine of Bisoprolol, Levothyroxine, Amlodipine, Prednisolone,
Ursodeoxycholic
Acid
, Losartan, Rosuvastatin and Famitidine. This is of course just my routine for my particular conditions.

Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA)
Anyone on here involved with the trial of Urso, a liver drug that showed so promise to treatment of PD Drug:
ursodeoxycholic
acid
Subjects will be provided ~50mg/kg/day (based on the use of 250 and 500mg capsules) of UDCA to be divided into 3 equal daily doses and titrated up over ~2 weeks to a stable

Ursodeoxycholic acid
Hi, I've been on urso 2000mg daily for 8 years now, but it seems to give me diarrhoea lately. Does anyone else have this trouble, also does it mean it has stopped working? Thank you for any help.

Immune suppression caused by Urso
The short version is, as the paper summarises, “these results suggest that the beneficial effects of
ursodeoxycholic
acid
in PBC is mediated in part by immuno suppression”.

Two updates in the Guidelines for PBC
Fibrates can be considered as off‐label alternatives for patients with PBC and inadequate response to
ursodeoxycholic
acid
, although fibrates are discouraged in patients with decompensated liver disease. 10. OCA is contraindicated in patients with advanced cirrhosis.

liver enzymes elevated after Urso brand change.
I have had PBC since 2004 with stable liver enzymes until approximately one year ago. I realize it may be disease progression but am wondering because I had an insurance company change just before their elevation and my new insurance company switched me to a different generic brand of ursodiol. Does

questions about Ursodiol medication.
I take 300mg of ursodiol 3 times a day and I’ve been taking this for 6 years. My only one problem is that I have never been able to swallow pills before and still can’t get it right. I been getting complaints from my dentist about cavities popping up often when I visit for fillings. I try to rinse

Which tests do your providers recommend annually?
Hello Everyone, I was diagnosed in 2018 and have had no issues, as bloodwork abnormalities led to my diagnosis, rather than symptoms. Fortunately for me, after I began taking Ursodiol, I have had normal bloodwork also. However, I've bounced around providers, in part due to the pandemic, and in part

OCALIVA
Hello! Anyone is taking OCALIVA in addition to Ursodiol to lower ALP? Does it work? Do you have any side-effects? How long have you been taking it? My ALP jump quite a bit and my doctor mentioned OCALIVA. I don't like what I read about the side-effects. I'd appreciate your input. Thanks!
