Tinnitus, macular degenerative.

Is there anyone who suffers from tinnitus and macular degenerative I would like to have contact with you to find out how you cope .

My mother inlaw has macular degeneration in both eyes.

She has to have injections in her eyes every two or three weeks on eye at a time...lots of love glynis

Let's hope they find other treatments and maybe help your other eye.

One good eye is good news also.

My inlaw is 78 and really help her and can tell in her vission when she is due a injection...lots of love glynis

Hi Peter, I haven`t been diagnosed with AMD but am awaiting an appointment from the hospital. Saw an optician on 22nd Dec and he said there is definitely a problem with my macula but he wasn`t sure what it was. He didn`t dilate my pupils because I`m at risk of Acute Glaucoma as I have Narrow Angle Glaucoma and dilating the pupils causes the pressures to rise. I did have a macula hole repaired in my right eye 5 years ago so it is possible I may have another in my left eye which is the one I am having problems with. Anyway he referred me to the hospital but I`ve heard nothing yet. Lynne

Hi lynne it took two months for an appointment at are hospital I got 4losts of injections but they had no affect so it's back to the drowning broad but I can work with one eye I hope all terns out well for you keep your chin up good luck .peter

Thanks for your reply Peter. Yes I`m expecting to wait a while for an appointment. Our Eye Clinic has been overstretched for years. For my yearly glaucoma checks I am under the Midland Eye Institute from Birmingham. They come to one our local Health Centres. Lynne xx
