What do you they actually do?

is a series of test of frequencies and volume and pitch. they put u inside a sound proof with a headset and try to find the Tinnitus frequencies. for each test, you then feedback to the dr. to go higher, louder or lower etc

if you wanna know how it sounds there is an app that does same thing. the one that comes with pitch, volume and etc..is based on concept that if they can find almost the same frequency of the tinnitus they can create a frequencies to blanket the ones ringing inside you.

Shortly after T intruded upon me I saw the hearing therapist. It was 2 or 3 times a year for 2 - 3 years. I think it was a good thing as she understood how difficult it could be to cope with T (as opposed to all the people who said, "You've got a noise in your ear, so what?) and I always left her feeling much more confident that I could learn to ignore it. Hope it's helpful for you.

Does help. Thx for reply. I just started with pounding in my ears a few times, and thought it might be from my bilogic med., Orancia, which I inject weekly. I read it was an uncommon side effect. So checked here, and I'm amazed it's so common. I will make an appointment with my Dr. for a check up on T. I'm thankful for so many comments shown here. Might not be cause from Orancia.
