I'm afraid I don't have enough knowledge to be much help. What I do know is that your morning cortisol level should be higher in the range than the ones later in the day. Yours appear to be below range for the entire day.

I don't know much about DHEA levels and there doesn't seem to be a reference range so I can't comment and I don't really know much about IGA.

It does appear that your cortisol levels are off though, which is enough to suggest that something needs to be done or at least looked into.

Can you tell us a little more of your history, for example your diagnosis and treatment and how you are feeling etc? This may help others who may be able to provide more information than I can.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Howdi your such a god send, I have tried to work out my results, my cortisol is high except morming

which seems to be inside range, the rest are elevatd. The Dhea was also elevated and ref range is o.30 to 1.00. not sure about the secretory iga it seems normal but top of normal range. You really dont want to know my history do you ? lol I am not quite sure my self, I had a chest injury two years ago and continued since then, I had a nasal endoscopy which caused some damage. I have been diagnosed fybromyalgia, positive thyroglobulin, perimenapause, low vitamin D b12 and iron still not optimal, multinodular goitre, reflux and atheritus, low and high blood pressure, tinitus, mild hearing loss, Autommune thyroid, low pth and abnormal thyroid, high T4 and very low tsh, docs felt it was the 25mcg eltroxin that had caused these results. I have currently been tested for magnesium deficiency.

I have nodes that pain in my neck for nearly a year. The list is endless, DR P new I had adrenal problems but nhs endo dismissed this and as a result I continue to suffer.

Thank you so much for helping me through this, you and many have been my rock, the more test I am having done the more issues are being reconised.

growing up I have always been tired and fatigue but used excessive excersice to get me through. After my chest injury and months after i started getting ashma, allergies food intolerance and bone pain, I lost my appetite which I now feel resulted in deficiency. I really dont know any more, my biggest concern is the nodes in the neck but specialist tend not to be concerned, this is making me extremely anxious and compounding my other issues.

Thanks hun, I will write a story if i ever pull through this.

waiting for my thyroid results to come back from surgery and private will post them.

not sure what to do in the interim?

big huggs

Wow! No wonder your adrenals are shot! Has Dr P given you any advice regarding healing your adrenals? Different specialists seem to have different preferred ways of treating adrenal problems although they seem to be equally valid. One way may work better for some people and another way for others.

I believe Dr P likes to uses supplements, particularly Nutri Adrenal Extra. I used Nutri Adrenal and the supplement I was taking at the time which contained similar vitamins and minerals to the NAX. I also took vitamin C and was really strict with myself about good diet (avoiding sugar, caffeine etc and getting nutritious foods) and rest (lying down when tired and getting early nights, preferably before 10pm. It did take a long time but this all helped and has resulted in me being able to switch to NDT without any problems with the dose increases.

Dr S believes that for hypothyroid patients, switching to T3 can resolve the problem and this is also a valid answer. Some people seem to benefit from a combination of the two approaches.

Can you get a free T3 test? If your T4 is high it doesn't necessarily follow that you are hyperthyroid. The eltroxin may be causing the problem but that might be because you are not converting it well due to the adrenal problems rather than it sending you hyper.

I hope you get to the bottom of it. From what I have heard, Dr P is an excellent doctor to be treating your condition. I really hope that you recover nice and quickly. Remember to rest when you can. People underestimate how important just resting can be. Even if you are just watching TV with your feet up, you could be getting some rest that will help you recover.

All the best and sorry I couldn't be more help.

Carolyn, you have been a good source of support and been very helpful indeed, I often read your post and I am glad you have made progress. Dr P was a very informative man who offered much support and due to funds did not order any supplements that was suggested( silly me) however i feel i need to be more proactive and start taking all supplements. Better write to santa for my long list of sweeties.

I will see what my next blood test resilts are on friday then get my rt3 tested.

thank you again
