My test results came back recently. TSH 0.07 in range 0.30 -4.5 and t4 14.7 in range 7.7-20 and t3 4.2 in range 4.2 - 6.8. My doctor seems to think they are okay. But my TSH seems low.

Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Likely your hypothyroidism is autoimmune with IBS
And GP tested you for coeliac disease?
Autoimmune thyroid disease, also called Hashimoto's affects the gut and leads to low stomach acid and then low vitamin levels
Low vitamin levels affect Thyroid hormone working
Poor gut function with Hashimoto’s can lead leaky gut (literally holes in gut wall) this can cause food intolerances.
Most common by far is gluten.
Dairy is second most common.
A trial of strictly gluten free diet is always worth doing
Only 5% of Hashimoto’s patients test positive for coeliac but a further 81% of Hashimoto’s patients who try gluten free diet find noticeable or significant improvement or find it’s essential

May have to go down private route as my doctors are not open to being told what to do. They never have face to face and ignore some econsults. They have taken over six practices recently and all are bad.
Come back with new post once you get results
