Has anyone else had pain in middle of back/shoulder blade whilst taking Accord? I was taking 50mcg for 6 months & whilst I had these pains I put them down to indigestion or general back ache but 4 weeks ago was upped to 75mcg and I now have stomach pains, terrible bloating and worse pain through my back.
I’m someone who does have a number of weird allergies to certain medications (even Piriton) and definitely have an issue with Mannitol. Should I change to Vencamil which I’ve read has a lot less fillers?
I’m about to see my Endo in a week so want to be prepared to ask her to state it on my prescription and tell my GP for future prescriptions. Once I’ve seen my Endo I’ll update my latest blood tests.

Or it could be just that 75mcg is a difficult dose to cope with. It’s frequently enough to significantly reduce your own thyroid output, but not a high enough dose to offer full replacement
Yes am having vitamin and full iron test along with thyroid this week and then am retesting thyroid in 2-4 weeks as I know I feel much better when my TSH is around 1. About 8 weeks ago I was feeling rubbish and my TSH was 2.6 (0.35 to 4.94) & no T4 or T3 as at GP surgery so I then booked to go back to my private Endo. GP allowed me to up the Levo to 75mcg but for the first 4 weeks I only upped to 62.2mcg as I’d read advice on here to do it slowly. My GP is happy to be led by my Endo so will see what she says next week.
Get your heart checked too. Heart pain in women can be experienced in the places you mention. Not saying to frighten you but it’s well documented that women’s heart pain goes unrecognised by medics. (Just like hypothyroidism goes undiagnosed).
The point about Vencamil isn't the quantity of excipients, nor the number of them, it is exactly what they are. Vencamil does not contain lactose, mannitol nor acacia - substances which are suspected of being problematic to some members.
Though I prefer Vencamil despite not have any known issues with those substances.
