hi all. I posted a few days ago for advice around possible sleep apnea following removal of my thyroid in 2018 and generally feeling unwell all of the time. I did a Thriva home test this week and have just got the following results back so if been keen for any thoughts please?
Vit D 37
B12 45.1
Cholesterol 6.3
Ferritin 136
TSH 1.38 (0.27-2.5)
FT4 16.5 (12-17)
FT3 3.4 (3.1-5)
T4 98 (59-154)

Just checking what time you took the test and when was your last dose of Levo before this?
Your FT3 is very low and you may need to concider adding a small amount of T3 to your Levo to raise FT3.
You can email info@thyroiduk.org for a list of T3 friendly Endo's.
Before you think about adding any T3 you need to address low vitamin levels.
Is the B12 result an active B12 test? Its far too low, needs to be 75+
No folate result?
Do you eat red meat? If you do:
B12 - do you have symptoms of B12 deficiency? The reference range for B12 is very wide and cut off point too low. theb12society.com/signs-and...
If you do then you should discuss this with your doctor for further tests for Pernicious Anaemia.
If not, then start with a methyl B12 sublingual spray or lozenge for a week, then add a good B complex. Once you run out of the separate B12 just continue with the B complex.
Vitamin D should be around 100 - 150. Buy one that includes vit K2 to help it go to your bones. Some are available in oil or you can take it with an oily meal for better absorption. Many members like the ‘Better You’ range of mouth sprays that contain both bit D & K2. Use this calculator to work out how much to take to get your level to 100-150. Most people need a minimum of 3,000iu per day.grassrootshealth.net/projec...
Your thyroid results certainly arent optimal and the same with vitamins. You can make quite some improvements by tackling both issues.
I’d last taken my Levothyroxine over 24 hours prior to the test.
Having just checked the Thriva result then I can confirm it’s Active B12. No folate result and yes I do eat red meat I guess I probably do have symptoms but to be honest they are how I feel most of time and often similar to thyroid symptoms!!
Thats quite a low result for B12 so worth talking to your GP about Pernicious anaemia. If you get no change there then start supplements as described above. They will improve how you feel quite a bit alone.
Once you have got B12 up to a good level - 75+ , also vit D, then have a think about getting some T3 added.
