hi just a quick question are we safe to take chia seeds while on thyroxine as they are full of health benefits thought I’d just check with people in the know thankyou

I eat these regularly, with no changes to my thyroid blood tests.

They can be high in fibre if you are eating a large quantity of them… so if you are consuming lots, I’d ensure this was 2 hours away from taking Levo.

Aww thankyou I just sprinkle a few on my porridge or yogurt but I’ve read about the health benefits so thought I’d give them a whirl thanks for the reply..

They are best absorbed if soaked first 😉. Look like frogs 🐸 sporn but slip down ! X

Definitely, I first used some without soaking, doubled me up, always soak them now.

I was sprinkling them on things straight from the jar but started thinking that they are so small and hard if you don’t soak them, surely they’ll pass straight through?
