Anyone tried Tiromel and how was it?

I bought some and they are 25mcg each tablet - just wondered how you found them and are they just same as other brands ? I take 100mcg levo and 25mcg of Tiromel . Also having difficulty shifting my weight just wondered if increasing t3 and lowering levo would help ? Thanks

If you post your latest results, with reference ranges, and say how long you've been on 100/25 we can see how tweaking your doses might help.

I haven't used Tiromel myself but some people do well on it, I think some have said they found it weaker than other brands they've tried.

Yes, as Susie says, I find it slightly weaker than other brands, but apart from that, it's fine. :)

Hi Greygoose when you say weaker how do you combat that ? Do you take more in the day than before ?

I found it superior to UK L-T3 and possibly more potent per mcg than AMCo or Teva. Maybe greygoose uses other brands or we just differ?

Thanks Jimh111 , I guess we are all different and drugs might suit us more than others . I got panicky when my Gp /cons/ccg said I can’t have it when a professor said I should, so I went and bought 200 from a source messaged to me on here . Thanks for your time .

Hi Poppyrocks,

I'm in Southern California and take Tirosint, 125 mcg's and have found it to be more effective than when I was taking equal doses of Levo. I'm not sure if Tiromel is a similar drug. Tirosint come in clear, amber gels and so there are no fillers or binders to slow down absorption of the drug. I also take a bit of T3 in form of cytomel. Hope this is helpful.

Cheers,

Surfdancer

I think that might be our Levothyroxine as I take that and t3 which is the Tiromel - wish I lived in Southern California 😍

Quite right - Tirosint is levothyroxine. Tiromel is liothyronine.

Could you please inbox where you get your cytomel from. Thankyou

I use tiromel. (T3 only) I prefer unipharma but that's not easy to come by anymore so tiromel is a good enough alternative.

I’m using my stock of Tiromel at the moment after my pharmacist gave me Teva Liothyronine, which makes me feel dreadful. Tiromel is making me feel much better.

Teva is awful. I've filled in a 'yellow card' complaint as it seems sub potent.

I have been using TIROMEL since last September which I purchase from abroad and have private bloods and I am in the upper range it is definitely working for me but I do split a 25 mcg tablet into two and take half in the morning and half at lunchtime I have lost a stone so far and I am also on a hydrocortisone steroid and weight is slowly shifting the brand suits me and I am sensitive to certain medications good luck with it I think it is a personal choice for everyone

Hi - I have been using Abdi Ibrahim Tiromel and find it stronger than Unipharma T3. There is a website which compares brands but it is subjective, experience based, not scientific.

And, if it is the one I know of, ever so out of date. :-(

Hi Poppyrocks

I take 100mcg Levo and 25 mcg Tiromel together at night. This seems to work Ok for me. I think I have tried every variation in timing of doses etc! I still have associated problems (at the moment tendon/nerve problems in both forearms and ankles/legs. I dont lnow whether there will ever be an end to these issues! I havent had weight loss with T3 to answer your earlier question.

Hi Valerie

Could you pm me the site you buy this from? My ex husband will be home to Turkey in September and so will get me some but I need something online until then.
