I got Hashimtos disease currently on levothyroxine but still not on final dose (maybe)
7 weeks ago before my first endocrinology appointment my TSH was 6,42 mIU/L (0.38-5.3) so endocrinologist increased my dose of Levothyroxine from 75mcg to 100mcg and said she would like to re-test in 6-8 weeks but will do after 12 weeks as she wanted me to give extra time to lose weight and see if my low testosterone and SHBG improve as she think my testosterone is low due to my low SHBG and slight obesity and fatty liver, she will also test pituitary hormone i think, if results bad then MRI of pituitary gland, some extra results my LH and FSH been borderline low, free testosterone borderline low, prolactin borderline high
By the way she ask me to lost at least 7 kg and i lost already over 5,5kg and still 6 weeks to testing, it's hard but doable
Of course i do not wanted to wait 12 weeks for TSH testing to avoid going my TSH up again so asked GP to re-test after 6 weeks (now) and my TSH result is 3.35mIU/L(0.38-5.3) and she also tested free T4 and result is 13.2pmol/L (7.7-15.1) now the twist, my endocrinologist told me to keep my TSH bellow 3 and if still feel bad it can be pushed between 1-2 so I asked my GP if to increase my dose and she say no my TSH is in good range i tried to explain here that what endocrinology said where should i keep my TSH level and she just don't know what to do on the end said i can increase by 25mcg so to 125mcg she looks so lost so called endocrinologist department and ask them to email my endocrinologist and ask about it and let me know, what you guys would recommended to do ?
I had also tested lipids and since on levothyroxine it all improved without do it anything, I'm on diet just past 3,5 week and for example my total cholesterol was 6 months ago 6,4mmol/l now is 4,8mmol/L and all panel improved
8 weeks ago my Vitamin D level was 33nmol/L so i been prescribed 40 000ui once a week for 7 weeks and now my Vitamin D level now is 78nmol/L
Bone profile all good
Hba1c was 6 months ago 38mmol/mol and now is 39mmol/mol but i do not worry about it much as i done some lifestyle changes almost month ago
Does anyone got this ? The real reason why i changed my life style was not because endocrinologist asked me to but i find out that what make me feel so bad is SUGAR ... I have not diabetes but for sure have some glucose sensitivity or insuline resistance and having it for years, basically can not eat anything even some fruits as it's give me palpitations, weakness etc. my morning fasting glucose level was always higher than should be for non diabetic but no bad readings after eating, is this something i can have due to hashimoto's or it's just obesity ? If anyone know ... My GP completely ignore this even i told her i have it for years she just told me ,,don't it sugar is not good for you body and not just yours for everyone'' and said i have to tell that to my endocrinologist next time i see her but no appointment booked, doctors don't care how we feel it's sad
