So after 8 weeks on 75mcg levo my results are:

Tsh 7.49 (0.30-4.59)

T4 16 (10-22)

Noticed my results on my app saying make drs appt. I'm now having to wait another 2 weeks for a phone call. Do you think I should start to take 100mcg levo or wait for my phone call?? I requested please for an earlier appointment due request for bloods after 8 weeks but the receptionist was having none of it

If you have enough T4 I'd suggest upping to 100mcg now🤗

Hi TiggerMeI had the same problem.

Been on 25mcg for 8 weeks then blood tested

Results came back the next day, TSH lowered but not enough, so I requested a prescription increase online for 50mcg levothyroxine and this was approved. No need for doctors appointment

I said I didn't need an appointment but she didn't listen to me I tried to say the whole point was after 8 weeks I had to be seen and my bloods were a week late due to a mix up at the surgery but she just kept saying you need an appointment and I said can I get a phone call at least and she all gp calls are on the phone anyway. So that's why I'm thinking just increase cause I need it anyway and then ring and say iv run out of tablets

Are you able to direct message your Surgery via the website as I find this works rather well (strangely some only accept messages during opening hours 🤷‍♀️)

What is the name of your access system your surgery is using please?

Messaging is available via their website rather than Systmonline or the NHS portal

EDIT... just been to look and the website has now been changed to a generic NHS one and the ability to message is no longer available 😠

thank you, maybe the previous messaging system was too useful to keep.

That seems far more sensible rather than having to wait for an appointment!

Yes I was amazed it worked!!I requested through my NHS app and the prescription was approved and delivered by the pharmacy the next day.

Couldn't ask for better service

I've certainly found the less you actually see your GP the better the outcome! Direct messages are excellent as they go on your record too, so need answering 😏
