Have been taking T3 for approx 8 weeks and have seen a big improvement in my energy levels. Sharing latest blood results, clear improvement shown with Free T3. I feel there is still room for improvement. Any advice greatly appreciated. Currently taking 100mg Levo and 5mg of T3 three times aday. Thanks in advance x

Your blood test print out says 'hyperthyroid' at the top , yet you seem to be talking about levothyroxin /T3 for hypothyroidism... confusing. I take levothyroxin ( 75 mcg) and 25 mcg T3 daily for hypothyroidism with poor T4 conversion over 12 plus years. FT3 looks good; don't really need to bother about FT4 or TSH results as it's the T3 that is the active hormone you cells need. If you think you are better, might still be improvement on this dose to come if you've been deprived T3 for years! Depends where you get your T4 and T3 from, if T4 from Gp, and T3 private, I know some on this forum who change doses slightly to keep GP happy to make sure he/she doesn't reduce T4 prescription.

I agree. It's taken me 4 months of 25mgs T3 meds to feel as well as I do. I initially expected to feel instantly good but for me the increased energy and reduced mental confusion has gradually improved.

Thank you I do have Hashimotos , I don’t take any notice of TSH as I’m certainly not hyperthyroid . Still feel there is room for improvement , I don’t convert T4 very well hence the T3 trial which is working. Seeing Endo again next month, thanks for your reply x

The “hyperthyroid” thing will be because TSH is suppressed. Which all of us here know isn’t the thing that makes you hyperthyroid. Sigh. :)

I’d say there’s a wee bit of room for an increase. Maybe try adding another 2.5mcg? You’ll soon feel it if you overshoot.
