Finally, after waiting over 2 weeks and pretty much giving up on them, the NHS blood team turned up this morning to do my full panel that my GP requested. Even though she specified early due to my thyroid being on the list they arrived around 11.30am and I had already taken my Levo at 6am because I woke up early and no small dose T3 before bed last night so those results are going to be a complete waste of time especially when I decided to have one of my B Complex caps as I hadn't had any for over 2 weeks. And....guess what??? they actually tested my T4 and T3 lol
I am aware that Biotin will affect thyroid labs but what about the other aspects of what is being checked ie. all the usual stuff, liver etc., and she is also checking Folate, B12 and D as well?
I asked her why I had to wait so long as they used to come round within a couple of days of the request going in. Apparently since Covid you are no longer able to randomly pop down to the hospital as you used to and sit and wait; it's all by appointment now and home visits are usually around 2 weeks. So at least I know now
