Kevin Byrne - The Enterohepatic Circulation of Vitamin B12

Just added a third-party link on my blog - this is a document which has been available since 2011 and is still enormously relevant and helps explain which the need for B12 can be so very much - massively - greater than the official recommended daily requirements (or whatever other term is used).

I feel this recirculation issue is simply not appreciated in many clinical settings.

A link to a PDF document on the B12info.com site which explains why even those receiving large quantities of B12 end up losing it very quickly.

Oh, thank you for that as I was just having a bit of indecision about mine. It is at the top of the NHS guidelines only just on red. I will read the whole thing later when I have time.

Many have levels of B12 so high that the lab doesn't actually determine the amount. They just say > 2000 (greater than 2000).

There is little or no evidence that high B12 is ever an issue.
