I just want to say a BIG thank you to everyone who has responded to my last two posts. I'm so grateful for this community and the help that you give.
Over the years, you have helped me understand my condition. By reading so many of your posts, I've been able to work my way through what is best for me.
I currently feel that I've found my optimal level of health and well-being. I know that this wouldn't have been possible without everyone on ThyroidUK and HealthUnlocked.
I think that one of the most distressing things about illness with underactive thyroid, is realising that so many GPs in the NHS won't listen or support us if we don't automatically slot into their medicating to TSH alone regime. I know it has left me feeling alone, and at times, in despair.
The most empowering thing about this community is realising that I'm not alone, and I'm not at the mercy of my PCT's "computer says no" attitude.
I can and have found real health and well-being again. I'm truly wishing the same for everyone on here who continues to suffer. 😘
