I am currently in Spain where liothyronine is not offered at all. I have now had my third set of bloods since being on levothyroxine and my T3 has not increased from the very lowest normal lab result.
I was wondering if anyone within Europe has got hold of it, it appears to only be available in Germany and I’m not sure if pharmacies there ship.
Thanks anyone if they can help.

The French have their own version: euthyral, but it is strictly prescription only. Could you perhaps hop across the border and consult a French doctor?
But, be aware that that kind of combo doesn't suit everyone because the ration T4 to T3 is not right for everyone. You might be better off seeking out just T3.
Perhaps to start with you’re right. I think we all just get desperate to feel better 😩 unfortunately I am in the south south so France is a good 11 hour drive away.
You are aware that Novothyral is a combination product?
Do you have a prescription? I suspect it is not going to be easy to get without one.
My world thyroid hormones document has some more information - but be aware it is not always called Novothyral - there are variations on spelling as well as Euthyral - try France, Germany, Austria.
helvella's medicines documents (UK and Rest of the World) has more details. But be aware that this document is currently somewhat out of date and I am working on a massive revision.
helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines
helvella has created, and tries to maintain, documents containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, many others around the world. There is now a specific world desiccated thyroid document.
I highly recommend viewing on a computer screen, or a decent sized tablet, rather than a phone. Even I find it less than satisfactory trying to view them on my phone.
helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines - UK
The UK document contains up-to-date versions of the Summary Matrixes for levothyroxine tablets, oral solutions and also liothyronine available in the UK. Includes injectables and descriptions of tablet markings which allow identification. Latest updates include all declared ingredients for all UK products and links to Patient Information Leaflets, etc. PLUS how to write prescriptions in Appendix F.
Contains details of all known desiccated thyroid products including information about several products not considered to be Natural Desiccated Thyroid (NDT/Desiccated Thyroid Extract/DTE).
Contains details of all levothyroxine, liothyronine and combination products - excluding desiccated thyroid products. Details available vary by country and manufacturer.
The link below takes you to a blog page which has direct links to the documents from Dropbox and QR codes to make it easy to access from phones. You will have to scroll down or up to find the link to the document you want.
Wow thanks so much this is super useful. I’m not actually in the UK so a European prescription is valid anywhere I believe in Europe. I can only try. I’ve tried every brand of levo on the market and nothing is taking that T3 up at all 😫
Holaguapa, before Brexit I used to get a private prescription from my NHS GP and would send the scrip to a legitimate Pharmacy in Germany. My Thybon Henning Liothyronine was then sent in the post. It cost me a total of £35 each month, way cheaper than the extortionate prices that were being charged in UK. Hope you get sorted.
