Has anyone tried NMN to heal their thyroid? I'm on levothyroxine and Liothyronine and have been for over 10years. Trying hard to lose weight and now menopausal....just literally things got worse! Am thinking to try NMN to help with DNA repair...any thoughts?

NMN & Thyroid
Could you explain what NMN is an acronym/abbreviation for, please.
'Has anyone tried NMN to heal their thyroid?'
You cannot magically 'heal' a thyroid, especially not after having been on T4 + T3 replacement hormones for ten years. Your thyroid obviously cannot, and never will be able to produce the hormones you need.
'NMN to help with DNA repair.'
Neither will repairing DNA heal your thyroid.
Please do not use unreferenced abbreviations - especially when they are not well-known on this forum. I suspect a majority of members have no idea what you mean by NMN - while DNA is quite widely recognised.
'Potential benefits and risks
NMN is a precursor for NAD+ biosynthesis, and NMN dietary supplementation has been demonstrated to increase NAD+ concentration and thus has the potential to mitigate aging-related disorders such as oxidative stress, DNA damage, neurodegeneration and inflammatory responses.[21] The potential benefits and risks of NMN supplementation, as of 2023, are currently under investigation.[21]

Hi, there. I've been using NMN constantly for more than 3 years now. I switch between normal nmn (1000 mg/day) and lipo nmn (500mg/day). Unfortunately, it didn't help my thyroid. I'm still on ndt pills. However, I have seen a reduction in my thyroid antibodies, although I cannot be sure it's from nmn.
