Endo appointment and low TSH

Hi all,

Please see my results below. My GP is making noise about my suppressed TSH but she's leaving it to my endo, who I have an appointment with on 18th June. They don't know that I take liothyronine as well as levo. I'm not sure whether to fess up or not just as a way to explain the suppressed TSH.

My last post was about 3 months ago and greygoose thought that I was possibly experiencing a hyper swing then. I'm still on the same dose 125mcg levo and 10mcg lio.

Results from Wednesday 12th May. I stupidly left 24 hours between taking both my last dose of levo and lio 7am (10mcg) and the test 24 hours later at 7am. So actually my T3 would have been higher so I'll have to do a private test now 🙄.

TSH 0.002 (0.27-4.2)

T3 6.1 (3.1- 6.8)

T4 19.5 (12-22)

Yes retest splitting your dose T3

Are you only taking 10mcg T3 per day

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription

As you are dairy free are you on lactose free levothyroxine

If not suggest you change to Vencamil, lactose and mannitol free

Vencamil currently 100mcg only.

25mcg and 50mcg tablets hopefully available from summer 2024

Request Endo prescribe lactose free T3

Options are

20mcg Teva tablets

Or

Roma capsules

Current Prices NHS pays

Yes, im only taking 10mcg of T3 a day. Grey goose was surprised 3 months ago that my T3 was quite high in range on only a modest dose of T3. I am also taking LDN, which I know improves T4/T3 levels in some people. I always get the mercury pharma brand. Oh, I didnt really think it was suggested on here to source lactose free levo as don't most people tolerate the small amount of lactose? I'm taking thybon Henning T3. I kept falling off the gluten and dairy wagon and soon felt puffy faced afterwards but I'm back on track now. Thank you for all the advice and suggestions.

There is no point seeing specialists and not giving them the whole story I don't think.

I would tell them, but be ready for the nonsense. Take a list of symptoms that the T3 has helped with so you can show why you take it.

Your body, your choice.

Thanks yes you're right about it being my body and therefore choice! And I'll be prepared for the probable nonsense.
