Your FT4 is below range, but that's not unexpected when taking T3. Whether or not that's a problem, only you can tell.
Problem is, the FT3 is missing from these results, and that's the most important number. So, really, there's not much more can be said about these results. But, how do you feel?
I feel good , just get the dip in the day when I get tired but nothing like before I was eventually diagnosed I but don’t sit down until the evening so to be expected with age I suppose.
Many on Levothyroxine plus small dose T3 find they feel best with BOTH Ft4 (levothyroxine) and Ft3 at least 50-60% through range
How much levothyroxine were you taking BEFORE T3 was added
Your results suggest you may need dose increase in levothyroxine
High cholesterol also suggests under medicated for thyroid
ESSENTIAL to test vitamin D, folate, B12 and ferritin at least annually
What vitamin supplements are you taking
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
T3 ….day before test split T3 as 2 or 3 smaller doses spread through the day, with last dose approximately 8-12 hours before test
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins
Testing options and includes money off codes for private testing
Thank you slow dragon. I shall use the link and code to get a full blood tests done.
I am taking 75 mcg Levothyroxine plus small dose if T3 half a tablet so 12 .5 mcg Would an increase in T3 split through the day ? And then up my Levo to 100 mcg take me to at least 50-60% through range? I was on 100 this time last year and the Dr reduced it as obviously as I was taking T3.
