Low Cortisol, Do I Need GP Tests Also ??

Hi All,

I have CFS and have posted here many times and everyone has been very helpful. I still am not on any meds as i still have been muddling through with my low energy. I have recently retested my Salivia Cortisol with Regenerus and my morning Cortisol is low. I have messaged Paul Robinson and was thinking of trying the CT3M method after i got my test results if he thinks it would help me. So I will post my 2022 and 2023 Saliva cortisol results below and recent thyroid test.

My question is with these results do I need my GP to test for anything before I consult with Paul Robinson?? And before I could try T3 ??

TSH 2.09 (0.27 - 4.2)

FT3 4.5 (3.1 - 6.8)

FT4 14.4 (12-22)

Can't seem to upload 2022 cortisol results. But DHEA was 266 (106-300) and now 2023 DHEA is 185 (106-300)

Thanks as always .

Ft4 is low

Be a good idea to try levothyroxine

Starting on 25mcg or 50mcg daily

Thanks Slowdragon for your comments, always appreciated. Think for most of my thyroid results you have mentioned my T4 being low ish so that appears to be consistent!

Vit D , folste, ferritin are all good in range , had them done just a few months ago and very good levels, which I appear to be maintaining thankfully. Think I need to try something now at this stage. Thank you once again .

Iron is obviously low

Haemoglobin also

Ferritin perhaps falsely high due to inflammation

medichecks.com/blogs/news/w....

NICE defines a ferritin result under 30 μg/L as iron deficient. However, it's possible to have a normal ferritin result and still be iron deficient —ferritin levels increase when there is inflammation in the body which can mask a low result. A full iron panel (Iron Blood Test) can give more insight in these cases.
