Looking for low or suppressed TSH research papers

Hello. I’m on combination T4/T3. I have an endo appointment soon. He reduced my Levo last year because of suppressed TSH. I want to be able to argue for it to be increased again so would need to take along some research that says it’s okay for TSH to be suppressed when on T3. Can anyone help with some links please. Thank you.

Good morning Piglet 🙂

Not sure if any of these will help (sent to me by the lovely   serenfach a couple of months of ago but due to other factors, including on-and-off IT problems, I've still not managed to sort through so, some of them you might have to copy and paste into your browser, as they don't give a direct link...) but, here goes:

- Prof Dr G. Brabant in 2008 “New reference range for TSH?” Department of Endocrinology, Christie Hospital , Manchester ,UK.

- Optimizing FT3 during thyroid therapy to alleviate thyroid symptoms - (Hoermann et al, 2019)

- Monitoring tablet potency, absorption, clearance, and TSH-FT3 relationships when dosing any medication including T3 hormone (Celi et al, 2010, 2011; Jonklaas et al, 2015)

- Effects of Long-Term Combination LT4 and LT3 Therapy for Improving Hypothyroidism and Overall Quality of Life

- THYROID FUNCTION TESTS

“No Detectable TSH” doesn’t always mean a patient has hyperthyroidism or central hypothyroidism

- Replacement therapy for hypothyroidism with thyroxine alone does not ensure euthyroidism in all tissues, as studied in thyroidectomized rats.

- and as for the often quoted risks of T3 to bone and heart health, the following paper shows that this is only true if the TSH levels are far too high.

Good luck! 🤞🍀 Keep fighting your corner and please let us know how it goes. ☺️

ETA: the links sent that did work 'cos I'm rubbish like my IT system atm!! 😎

Yay! I've also come across this discussion from 3 years ago with TUK's dearly departed   diogenes imparting his wonderful wisdom. Very apt for you to go and do a 'Dr John Midgley' on your Endo to enlighten him, I would have thought. 👌

Could this post also be pinned, please   RedApple ? (with apologies if it already has been)...it's just that quite a few members seem to be fighting this battle more-and-more.
