question about vitamin levels

I’m Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I was wondering

When our vitamin levels are at a good level , does that in turn make our thyroid levels mainly our TSH T3 T4 levels to rise when TSH is under range.

It just got me thinking as I’m been prescribed folate for 3 months by the doctors & will be looking

For vitamins to take to keep my levels good

As my folate came back 7.2 ( 7–35)

B12 54.2 ( 37.5 - 188

Ferrtin- 104 ( 30-207)

Vitamin D. 69.7 ( 50-250) I’m taking nature provide black seed oil every day with my main meal now

Tsh 0.156 ( 0.27 - 4.2 )

T4 20.7 (12 - 22)

T3 4.5 ( 3.1 - 6.8)

thank you for reading.

High Ft4 is resulting in low TSH

Ft4 level should drop as Ft3 improves

For good Ft3 levels we need OPTIMAL vitamin levels as this helps improve conversion rates of Ft4 to Ft3

Are you taking B12 as well?

While not below the reference interval (range), B12 is not exactly high.

You cannot expect everything to be fine when vitamins are not right. If the thyroid levels were right because of low vitamin levels, then that could be towards the two wrongs actually not really making a right!

You have to keep your eyes open and see what happens.

Hi Helvella

No I’m not taking any B12 supplements.

I’m going to get get some, just looking to see which brand will be best & which strength to take. Along with the folate especially when my prescription from the doctors for folate ends after the 3 month course.

Would you say it best to get tablet with folate & b12 together or take separate dose.

Still trying to get my head around all what I need to know about getting my vitamin level right.

Take them separately!

Combining things like this - where you could find you need 100:1 or 1:100 ratios between them (or anywhere between) is just a recipe for having to buy multiple products and leave part-used products in your cupboard.

Others are far better informed about specific products and forms.

I gave you details on recommended brands of separate B12 and separate vitamin B complex in your previous post
