Primary Hypothyroidism with Hashis

Hello everyone, thank you for all your informative posts, I wish I had gotten more involved in monitoring my own thyroid status over these past 28 years!

I took 2 Advanced Thyroid Function Blood Tests with Medichecks on 29/3/23 and 29/11/23.

Please could you help with your observations of the 2 tests shown below?

Am I right in thinking I am not converting to T3 very well? If so have you any suggestions please? Also my Vitamin B12 Active needs to improve, it has hardly changed in the 8 months between the 2 tests, could you suggest a good vitamin supplement please? My vitamin D has improved but is still not optimal so again any advice you can offer me will be greatly appreciated.

Please find the 2 sets of results

29/3/23

TSH 0.07 mU/L (0.27 - 4.2)

Free T3 5.33 pmoI/L (3.1 - 6.8)

Folate Serum 2.16 ug/L (3.89 +)

29/11/23

Free T3 3.9 pmoI/L (3.1 - 6.8)

Free Thyroxine 20.2 pmoI/L (12 - 22)

Thyroglobulin ab 2937 kIU/L0 (0 - 115)

Peridoxase ab 138 kIU/L0 (0 - 34)

Ferritin 314 ug/L (30 - 650)

Folate Serum 39.1 nm0I/L (8.83 - 60.8)

Vitamin B12 Active 60.9 pm0I/L (37.5 - 188)

Vitamin D 79.5 nm0I/L (50 - 250)

Many thanks again for all the help you can give, this year too I am suffering from hair loss which I'm finding difficult to cope with,

Thank you from Welsh Lady

You have done well to get your folate up, have you been taking a B complex? We tend to recommend Thorne Basic B or Igennus Super B (smaller tablet x 2) I would suggest adding a separate sublingual B12 like Nature Provides which has 2 good forms of B12 and seems to work well as it avoids the stomach

Vit D has improved but still needs a little more to get it above 100, again a sublingual works well, Nature Provides does a good one of these too which also has K2 MK7...

Your antibody levels are high which might suggest you could do with cutting out gluten or dairy? Have you been checked for Coeliac?

How were you feeling at the end of March compared to now?
