I have ordered the Thorne Adrenal Cortex supplement which I hope will help improve my low morning and midday cortisol. I am excited to try this supplement! Do you think it will help my low but in range T3 and T4 ??I am not on thyroid medication.
Latest results were
TSH 2.09 (0.27 - 4.2)
FT4 14.4 (12 - 22)
FT3 4.5 (3.10 - 6.80)
THANKS !

Hi, yes I'm sure it will help with raising your cortisol but by doing this it is likely to improve your uptake of T3 and conversion of T4?... so don't be too surprised if your free's drop as more will be making it to your cells and less sloshing around in your blood so you might well need an increase.... but with your current results I'd suggest an increase in dose anyway 🤗
Well, if you are being treated with thyroid hormone, THAT contains iodine and supplementing supposedly could interfere with your treatment. It's controversial and the tiny amount in your pill is probably inconsequential. Since you have a nodule, something is going on. I think you should check out what might be interfering with your own iodine and these halides can interfere and displace iodine in your body. Fluoride is a bad one. Try to avoid any fluoride. Bromide which may be in fire retardants, car seats, even bread and of course chlorine! Our bodies need iodine. Check out halides.
It could be very helpful. You could also try licorice tea or licorice root capsules if you don't have high blood pressure. Think of your adrenal glands and thyroid on a see saw. Find John Bergman on you tube and his videos on both.
