I’ve been away but finally had my vitamin d tested ( thanks for info SlowDragon), a quick and efficient test I did at home.
My overall D is lower than formerly, even though I have had sun and have been supplementing with oral spray Better Life + K2 X 2 sprays daily. I looked at the one recommended but decided to wait for these results ans I couldn’t find ann oral spray. I’ve always struggled with taking D but the spray has been tolerable - more or less. I haven’t been an assiduous taker. In light of that, is this a straightforward increase the intake and test again in a month?
Certainly answers persistent fatigue issues, which I came back on here about a few weeks ago.
I have no gall bladder so query bile deficiency re processing D? Or is that too fancy and just take the D Mary!
My overall D level is 46.4 and deemed insufficient. The overall range is 30.1 - 50. It’s isn’t broken down into D2 range or D3 range specifically.
The D2 is 2.8 nmol/L
Thé D3 level is 43.6 nmol/L.
Thanks as ever.

Thank you. I am not taking a PPI and I would avoid in future wherever possible.
I thought I’d try obtaining minerals via foods, so I take Brazil nut and pumpkin seeds, maybe a few almonds, every day, plus a small square of hard cheese, usually goats. I eat avocado probably twice a week.
There is a magnesium body spray I’ve looked at, would this do? It’s focused on bone or muscle issues.
It must be over a year since I had folate and ferritin tested by Medichecks. They were ok.
Doc checked ‘iron’ maybe six/seven months ago. I can’t remember the outcomes except ‘fine’ . I’ll have to dig them out.
Thanks for advice. I’ll be more generous with the vit d!
Oral delivery of Vitamin D with K2 is more efficient but you’d need quite a high dose as you’re deficient. That may not suit you if you’re not comfortable with capsules.
In that case, Slow Dragon’s advice re Better You is the one to follow.
I find the Nu U Magnesium supplement works well for me. A must as a cofactor

Sounds like your intuition is working well
"Bile is a digestive secretion that helps emulsify fat and as a result aids the digestion and detoxification processes. Healthy bile flow is absolutely essential for your overall health."
Have you considered taking bile salts?
I can't tolerate D supplements either (I just feel 'yuck') - years ago I decided it was because of Lanolin (derived from wool bearing animals e.g. sheep). (For me) a better source of Vit D would be fish oil e.g. Krill, pure cod liver oil, quality eggs.
I live in a sunny warm/hot climate, have abundant bare flesh exposure virtually all year round, and do not use toxic suncreen products but I still had sub optimal D readings until I started eating some Gouda cheese everyday (K2). (that was also some years ago and I got out of the habit - writing this to you has prompted me to reintroduce it (thank you)
I was very deficient in Vit D (diagnosed aged 58) due to being fair skinned and always being hidden from the sunlight since being a child. I tried the supplements prescribed by the GP but started very quickly with pain in the liver. I switched to the Better You Oral spray which is clinically proven to be absorbed in the mouth. It's a method used for years by homeopathic practitioners but you need to make sure that you avoid having food or drink or even cleaning your teeth within 15 minutes before or after the spray. Absorption is affected by all of these . Also if using separate sprays don't put them both on the same cheek, try putting one under your tongue instead.
As I also have osteopenia I take Better You 4000iu and K2 in separate sprays. My levels rose very quickly but don't stay optimal without this continuous supplementation.
I don't think you're taking enough and would suggest you go to at least 3000iu daily but 4000iu ideally.
