Although I have not had an official diagnosis - because I have some neurological symptoms - my GP has agreed for me to have B12 injections EOD - continuing and now SI - and there have been some improvements although I do still have some neurological symptoms. I am also taking B Complex which contains 400iug of Folate but stopped these prior to the BT.
Am I right in thinking that the Folate levels are decreasing as the B12 is treating the B12 deficiency.
Interestingly my high Ferritin Levels are also decreasing since starting the B12 Injections - these have gone from 715 to 614 in one month and I am currently waiting on the results from the BT taken on 4/523 and will be interested to see if they continue to reduce. Again I wonder if the B12 Deficiency is causing the inflammation that has caused the Ferritin levels to be raised.
Despite many tests and proceedures - no one has been able to account for this since August 21 when I was first taken ill. However, although there have been some improvements - I still feel really rubbish with the fatigue and lethargy being the worst and most debilitating.
I am grateful for all the help that you have given me to date and anything further that you can add would be much appreciated before my next GP appointment please.
Many thanks

Your TSH has risen since you have started on the B12 injections.
Free T4 (fT4) 15.8 pmol/L (12 - 22) 38.0%
I think you made an error with the range and it should read 12-22 for FT4?
You could probably do with a Levo increase as your FT4 is now quite low.
As your folate has dropped you could probably buy some separate 400mcg methylfolate to add to the B complex. It may well be that now the folate can be used as you have more B12 the level of folate has dropped.
Thank you Ladies - for getting back to me so quickly -
Just to confirm that the T 4 range is correct for the 4/5/23 NHS test -
The 12 - 22 range was for the Medichecks test.
Your suggestion of increasing my Levo is music to my ears and what I feel my body is crying out for ?? My GP is lovely and is happy to work with me so just hope that he will agree ?? I am still suffering with Brain Fog and concentration problems and when I read
TSH 0.12 -I was thinking it had gone down even lower !! But that is good news as hopefully if I increase the Levo - then it should come up even further ?
How much should I suggest increasing the Levo please - as I have to wait until 16/5 for my GP appointment - I may start the increase straight away ??? In the hope of feeling a bit better. Please can you also give me the optimal percentages through the ranges for the best chance of feeling well ?
I did have very sore, burning feet with shooting pains and very severe palpitations but these have now disapeared with the B12 injections - as I have had all the other symptoms for almost two years - I guess it will take a while for them to go - I realise from reading on the forum how lucky I am that I am being listened to by my GP and he is allowing me to continue with the injections EOD. I don't think he understands it but when I had to go over a weekend without an injection - I felt so ill and it felt as if I was dying - so he has allowed me to SI to overcome this.
Red Apple has suggested that my feeling rough might be diet related ? I am willing to try anything so could you please expand on this please.
