Hi all. I would like to get your thoughts on my latest blood results after my last increase 3 plus months ago to 87.5 mcg. TSH - 1.83 (0.35 - 4.94)

FT4 - 11 (9 - 19.10)

FT3 - 3.2 (2.4 - 6)

FOLATE - 7.6 (3 - 20.50)

B12 - 748 (200 - 900)

FERRITIN - 151 (30 - 250)

I have been taking the Thorne B Complex.

I know Vit D is also around 90ish.

As always, much appreciated. x

Hi Kazzy

Importantly, how are you feeling symptom wise? I ask this because just looking at the bloods it would appear you may be undermedicated ?

People on levothyroxine generally do not gain some relief from the symptoms until the TSH is one or below.

There is a guideline dose of 1.6µg per kilogram of body weight.

So I’m 15 stone and calculated converting stones to kilograms that I needed 150 µg of levothyroxine.

This is only a guide, but actually it worked for me!

So tell us how are you feeling ??

Thank you for replying. I can't say I feel well. The main symptoms are very low energy, weight gain, anxiety has gone down slightly, I'd say it was a 7/10. I don't feel like I want to die at the mo which is a bonus. I feel quite stressed out, the elephant on the chest type of feeling. I depend my days preventing being tired so I can manage things a bit better. I weigh about the same as you.

definitely read my bio Kazzy

I think you will relate to much of it. I’m in a much better place now, but I was idealising for a while there. It will get better but you do need to self advocate to make sure that if you get a ‘dud’ (useless) doctor, you can identify them as such and put them right. It’s good, the rheumatologist asked for the blood test. I think there are many people in different disciplines other than general practice and endocrinology who are starting to see the symptoms and act on it not waiting for someone else to do so.

There is some really good research coming out of cardiology as well
