30mcg reduced to 25mcg T3- 12 hours exactly 4.4 )4 to 6.8

Liver enzymes raised but ggt normal

Severe weight gain on legs water retention

white blood count low at neutrophils low at 1.78

I googled and suggest hyperthyroid and bone marrow issues

Cortisol 520 - max is 525 - this was 9am and after T3

So I never received a letter from my endocrinologist

GP called me in a panic - she is new saying I’m dangerous hyperthyroid- I explained

I’m under endo and it’s suppressed due to T3.

she told me stop all vitamins and refused to test iron and vit b again

I’m seeing colorectal surgeon tomorrow as my insides prolapsed.

Vit d is 108

B12 was 1570 but is it possible it’s high but the active part is low ?

Hi Chouchiu1234

So sorry 😢 sounds like are really going through the mill…

I’m only able to comment on a few things . If you get chance to do your bio - do.

This is so people can see where you are at and what this whole journey has been like for you and it helps with feedback and sharing your experiences with others. Have a click on my face you will see what I mean 🤗

As to your doc - being over medicated does not make you hyperthyroid. Both of your thyroid hormones are with in range. In fact you’re FT3 is scraping at the bottom!

Hypothyroidism and Hyperthyroidism are two different diseases that happen to occur in the same organ - the thyroid.

It is wrongly characterised as being either end of a scale but this is a gross oversimplification. Your doctor obviously falling into that trap.

For instance, medically induced hypothyroidism, when someone who is suffering hyperthyroidism has their thyroid removed, or has radiation treatment or medication, is not the same as Central or Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism.

The aetiology of these diseases is very different. It is really quite disturbing how ignorant doctors are to this and how lines are blurred and things are lumped in together that never should be.

You may need to get private bloods to get the full picture but from what I see here, obviously ignoring TSH, conversion seems very poor.

I have had a lower conversion rate on my last blood test but previously it was good so the only other thing that is out of whack are my B 12 and folate on the low side.

Has conversion been an ongoing issue?

Day before test did you split your T3 as 10mcg waking, 10mcg mid afternoon and 5mcg approximately 8-12 hours before test

No folate or ferritin results ?

Suggest you stay on current dose levothyroxine and T3

Retest again in another 6-8 weeks

Legs

Have you considered lipodema.

Over 30% of lipodema patients are hypothyroid.

lipoedema.co.uk/

Are you on strictly gluten free or dairy free diet

yes I did all the test properly

It’s water retention and bowel paralysis after T3

They won’t test ferritin and vitamin b again .last time was 30

Working on raising it

Vitamin b was super high

X

I never had this before starting T3 . It’s so weird

.Thank you

I’m beyond words and tears

I have slow motility in my bowels, very common for people with hypothyroidism, and I am constantly tweaking my diet to improve the situation.

Inulin and psyllium husk Are great for soluble fibre and I’m on a gluten-free diet.

I’ve noticed if I eat carb rich food that is high in sugar that can make me a bit clogged. Cereals can be very problematic too, so I don’t have a lot of cereals, but the modern gluten-free breads do have psyllium husk in - I use the Promise brand but all of them seem to have improved the last couple years. That helps and a bit of a walk every day.

We are all different and it takes a while to work out what works best

Do you take any other medications at all apart from your thyroid medication?

I’m gluten dairy free x

I take perculapride for motility and low dose fluoxetine been on that forever.

That’s it and NAC milk thistle omega 3 vit d

thank you

I’m

Just having a super bad day

Thank you

Deficient ferritin won’t be helping

How long ago was that test showing ferritin 30

Have you had full iron panel test for anaemia

Did GP prescribe iron supplements

Never supplement iron without doing full iron panel test for anaemia first and retest 3-4 times a year if self supplementing. It’s possible to have low ferritin but high iron

Medichecks iron panel test

medichecks.com/products/iro...

post from last week discussing that many members need ferritin at least over 70 and nearer 100 may be necessary

I did it maybe 5 months ago - and Tibic etc testing done and all in range.

I can’t take iron supplements due to constipation. Gp did not prescribe and it was never even mentioned by endo either.

I will try get new tests but they are refusing to test. It’s very frustrating. I was taking a multi vitamin with iron in but stopped as constipation so bad. It’s bowel paralysis in parts.

I am having liver once a week and beef but with Supplements before it was 30 so I’m worried it’s dropped . It maybe 35 I can’t remember .

I’m very very exhausted so I will make sure I have some beef this week.

thank you again

Sorry to bother you xx appreciate your advice.

Eating red meat every day, washed down with orange juice (vitamin C helps improve iron absorption)

Liver or liver pate once a week. Black pudding (if you can stand it)

Getting full iron panel test every 6-9 months

I’ve been glugging orange juice recently and it does seem to help motility
