So I’ve not been well so I reduced my t3 to 2.5mcg and Levo 150mcg. I then stopped the t3 due to sickness, after 2 days of no t3 I upped my Levo back to 175mcg. I’m still on the Levo now and looking for direction on what to do.
Current results with lowered meds’ 4th September.
TSH 3.14.00 (0.38-5.5)
T4 16.8.00. (10.00-18.70)
T3 4.3.00. (3.50-6.50)
The next results I was on 2.5mcg of t3 then upped to 5mcg and 150mcg Levo. Taken 14th August.
TSH 1.6.00
T4 15.2.00
T3 4.3
My iron was very low at 8 ranges 8-30.
So I’m still not sleeping right since taking t3 I’ve been all over tried a few brands and it makes me feel sick with night sweats and anxiety at night. But I do feel more awake in day.
I was thinking of taking my Levo 150mcg one day and 175mcg the alternative day and t3 2.5mcg and see how I am. But I’d need to keep this for a few weeks so the Levo is stable in my system.
Any ideas as to what I should do. The other part of me thinks I wait to see consultant and try teva Levo as Sigma and Mayne pharma don’t agree with me. But endo might decline me.
Anyhow what’s going on my t3 is the same.

Yes serum iron 8 and serum ferritin 61 (22-322.00) no b12 done or folate since March.
Gp not doing a lot I had to beg for ferrous fumerate but I’m not doing well on it. I’m taking about 3 spartone and copper vit till my solgar 20mg iron arrives and I plan to take 2 of them.
Gp just said slightly low iron, it’s not even in range and the tsh normal, gp made me very mad.
Why are you taking copper? Did you get it tested first? Hypos are usually high in copper and low in zinc, so it could be the copper making you feel bad
I only just started the copper as the chemist told me it helps absorption of iron. I always take zinc at night. I’ve not been tested for low copper.
I’m just confused as to what my body needs medication wise with what’s going on symptom wise with the t3. From my results my t3 did improve a little and my tsh lowered. I just felt sick and not with it, yet very awake at the same time.
Have you tried taking 2.5mcg twice or three times per day?
What supplements do you currently take?
Do you take selenium? Of vitamin C?
All four vitamins need to be optimal
Vitamin D at least 80nmol
Folate at least over ten
Serum B12 at least over 500
Ferritin at least half way in range
Low ferritin
Eating liver or liver pate once a week, plus other iron rich foods like black pudding, prawns, spinach, pumpkin seeds and dark chocolate, plus daily vitamin C can help improve iron absorption
Originally took 2.5mcg twice daily but the afternoon dose made me so spaced out I had to stop so I took the whole 5 in the morning with my Levo and then fell back to sleep, this helped a lot with symptoms as to my body 2.5mcg t3 is like rocket fuel.
I take all my supplements spaced out as per grey goose’s advise and yes selenium is now one of them. I take my b vits in morning, iron/vit c/copper around 3ish away from food etc, vit d/k with my tea. Then zinc and magnesium at bedtime. Not decided where best to put the selenium yet. Was thinking bedtime too?
What’s your advise on my TSH changing so much in a short time? I see a consultant soon and need advise on what’s best for me. I really don’t know what the right balance is and where to start. Grey goose was really helpful they told me to take the 5 mcg t3 in the morning and stay with the 150mcg Levo. I’d do that but the night sweats and sickness where awful.
I feel more relaxed on the Levo alone but dopy and not as energised, even though the t3 also had me anxious as hell. The t3 also improved my conversion where as upping the Levo made conversion worse.
I very much doubt taking T3 improved your conversion. If your FT3 rose it would be because of the T3 you were taking, not because you were converting more.
