Could I get some advice about my 15 year old daughter please?
She was first tested 2 years ago and T4 below range. Referred to adolescent medicine in paeds but repeatedly told Thyroid tests were normal, despite being symptomatic. Paeds wouldn't share blood results.
I am taking her privately now as paediatric endo wait lists on NHS 3 years.
She experiences severe fatigue, migraines, heavy periods, anxiety, depression. she has had to drop out of some her GCSEs due to her health.
T3 4.7 (3-7.4) 39%
T4 12.6 (12-21) 6%
TsH 6.18 (0.51-4.3)
Folate 14.8 (3.9-26.8) 48%
B12 1085 (197-771)
Can znyone advise if I should be worried about B12.
Also she us vegetarian and borderline Vitamin D. She has been on hood quality multivitamin, magnedium and Vid d and k2 spray for last few months. No additional B complex though, so alityle concerned at the B12 result. Could b12 result be linked be linked to autoimmune? Antibodies have been neg on two occasions but mind are too.
Thanks

SlowDragon, meant to respond to your question re TPO and TG-both done last year done last year and was told negative. Weren't repeated this time though.
Thanks RoboTh, Dr put her on transexemic acid. She is taking now and I think it is helping a little. I have a call logged with GP for this aft as this poor kid is getting it from every angle and barely getting through the day with fatigue.
That article on atrophied thyroid is fascinating. My own thyroid scan showed 'small volume'. They didnt explain what that meant. I have never tested positive for antibodies but definitely feel I have flares and have been very unstable on levothyroxine. Perhaps now my daughter too. Thanks in advance re iron and human bean. Will keep reading links.
She was Slow Dragon. I put her on it myself after first result of 49, as I wasn't happy with her result. She has been taking it everyday, so I was surprised it had only come up to 52.
