Advice about Ferritin and Vitamin levels

TSH 0.04 (0.27 - 4.20)

T4 24.9 (11.0 - 21.2)

T3 5.8 (3.1 - 6.8)

Serum B12 452 (197 -771)

Folate 8.6 (3.0 -20.0)

Vit D 77 nmol/L (no ref range given)

I thought I may be slightly overmedicated so reduced levo from 125mg to 112.5mg

Medichecks Blood Test 2 January

TSH 0.21 (0.27 - 4.2)

T4 18.4 (12 - 22)

T3 4.9 (3.1 - 6/8)

Ferritin 115 ug/L (30 - 650)

Should I go back to 125mg levo and try to increase ferritin/folate and Vit D.

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

Was ferritin tested in Dec

Yes I would increase levothyroxine back and improve all four vitamins to optimal levels

Daily vitamin D and a vitamin B complex to improve folate and B12

And iron rich foods in your diet for ferritin

Igennus Vit D3 2000 iu (1 a day)

Troo Magnesium Citrate

Last ferritin test Feb 2021

Ferritin 130 (13 - 150)

Why has the ref range changed from 13-150 to 30-650

Should I take a folate supplement also?

We have received further information the lab about ferritin reference ranges. They confirm that they are sex dependent up to the age of 60, then beyond the age of 60 the reference range is the same for both sexes: 

Males 16-60: 30-400 ug/L

Female's: 16-60: 30-150

Both >60: 30-650 

The lower limit of 30 ug/L is in accordance with the updated NICE guidance and the upper limits are in accordance with guidance from the Association of Clinical Biochemists. ‘
