Advanced well woman blood test

hi all,

I recently got a full female blood test done. - see screenshot of my vitamins and thyroid level. My tsh, free t3 and free thyroxine are all on low side. The report says ‘a low tsh that is accompanied by low levels of t3 and t4 can be sign of an underlying pituitary problem. Does anyone know what it could be and how can I get this exactly diagnosed? Is there anything I do to improve my thyroid results? I am currently on 75mg levo but also take 1 grain of Amour/ metavive II. Note I was run out of my NDT medicine for 1-2 weeks which maybe reason for low T3.

Any thoughts on results and on the pituitary problem will be greatly appreciated.

mgid, the remark re a possible pituitary problem was made by someone who didn't know that you take thyroid medication. Your tsh will be low because you have been taking armour and metavive. Taking anything with t3 tends to lower tsh. Your thyroid hormones are low because you are not on high enough doses of thyroid hormones.

Taking NDT will significantly reduce TSH and TSH remains low for many weeks/months even if stop (or run out)

retest after 6-8 weeks minimum on constant unchanging dose

Last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Day before test split T3 or NDT into 2 or 3 smaller doses spread through the day

Last dose approx 8-12 hours before test

No Ferritin result?

Your vit D needs supplementing.

The thyroid result is invalid as not a constant dose in the weeks leading up to it.

Not what you're looking for?
