Hi

Ive been having symptoms previously linked to low ferritin, dizziness, breathlessness, fatigue, frequent periods, etc, but now attempting 4th pinprick due to haemolysing.

Due to having raised tsh in past, low vit d, & a diagnosis of functional b12 defici, (which have dyopped injections & trying sublinguals ) I did a general check & magnesium & cortisol were slightly raised, which has also been the case in past, but Dr has said nothing to worry abt. Iwake early hours, sometimes with anxious high alert feeling & often feel as if body responds with panic like symptoms far too easily, when my head is telling it to calm!

Other results are

TSH 2.57 (0.2<-4.2])mU/L

T4 113 (66-181)nmol/L

Free T4 16 (12-22)pmol/L

T3 5.17 (3.1-6.18)

Antithyperoxidase 9<34iU/

Antithyglobulin 15<115

Vit d 63 nmol adequate range 50-75

B12 1156 (145-569)

My b12 has been much higher when on injections, but can check MMA /active b12 for that,

Im gluten & dairy free & have long term diagnosis of ME. Any sdvice much appreciated thank you.

How are your D and ferritin/iron levels now?

Thanks for your reply and interest…the vit d is 63 nmol, which is in the adequate range, though I thought it may have been pretty high after this summer! It usually gets low in the winter. They are all results which came in last wk. I’m redoing the ferritin and folate tomorrow…4th time lucky hopefully. First 2 attempts I was trying to do the iron panel test, but only CRP worked, that was fine.

So, I swopped and tried the above test which incorporates ferritin, but strangely it still didn’t work. I’ve always managed to get iron panels to work via pinpricks in the past.

Many thanks…
