How much levothyroxine are you currently taking

Is it still 75mcg daily

Which brand of levothyroxine and do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

Was test done early morning, ideally just before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

You also need vitamin D, folate, B12 and ferritin levels tested

Do you have autoimmune thyroid disease also called Hashimoto’s usually diagnosed by high thyroid antibodies

Have you had coeliac blood test done

yes I have Hashimoto's yes I have my blood test on seven in the morning i'm on 50 mcg levothyroxine and they put me on T3 as well 10mcg to try for three months i'm on Teiva as I'm dairy and gluten-free yes always have my test at 7:30 in the morning stop my medication 24 hours before I take the complex iron tablets vitamin d B12 drops

so

Last dose levothyroxine is correct 24 hours before test

Day before test split T3 into 5mcg waking and 2.5mcg mid afternoon and 2.5mcg at 7.30pm

Or 5mcg waking and 5mcg at 7.30pm

How do you feel?

Ft4 is too low as is below range

Request 25mcg dose increase in levothyroxine

Ft3 - falsely low as you left 24 hours between last dose T3 and test

ESSENTIAL to stop vitamin B complex a week before all tests as contains biotin and biotin can falsely affect test

If testing iron stop iron supplements a week before test

I stopped my medication 24 hours before for and my T3 is that correct and I'll stop all my other vitamins a week before can I take my t3 with my levothyroxine

you can take T3 with levothyroxine

Day before test ?..Last dose levothyroxine 7.30am with 5mcg T3……Second dose T3 - sometime between 7.30pm and 11pm

Typically when adequately treated BOTH Ft4 and Ft3 will be at least 50% through range

Currently Ft4 is well below range showing you need 25mcg increase in levothyroxine

Approx how much do you weigh in kilo?

I weigh nine stone it's really strange I don't feel any different now I thought I'd be starting to feel poorly with the numbers that I've got in my blood test but I don't so have I got to split my T3 tablet thank u

The doctor has rung me and says they want me to repeat my blood test as I've had a really bad cold in case that's interfered with my results but I doubt it very much so I'm going to increase myself to 25 and I weigh just over 9 stone two but my weight goes up and down and I feel so hungry all the time.

so when retest

Stop vitamin B complex a week before all tests

If testing iron and ferritin stop iron supplements a week before test

Book early morning test.

Last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Day before test ….split T3 so last dose is 8-12 hours before test
