Inner dizziness

Can thyroid make you feel dizzy inside? I’m wondering whether it’s that or my inner ear. My speech feels slurred too and I feel slow.

My levels seem to be okay though

TSH 0.8

T4 14.8

My doctors don’t test anything else but I could ask to get my vitamins checked.

Thoughts?

They were taken in the morning but after taking my medication, would that have affected the results?

My antibiotics are 600 so quite high, I assume that has a role to play too.

Will look into private as NHS don’t want to test anything extra and really fight it.

So frustrating!

ALWAYS Test thyroid levels early morning, ideally before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

If you took levothyroxine before test your Ft4 result is falsely high and would have been lower…..perhaps around 10

What’s the range on Ft4 (figures in brackets after result)

Often range is 12-22 ….but different labs have different ranges

On levothyroxine when adequately treated Ft4 should be at least 50-60% through range

Hashimoto’s often does a bounce back after giving birth, and gets a bit worse

was dose levothyroxine increased during your pregnancy

Or have you had dose reduction since you had your baby?

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription

Many people find different brands are not interchangeable
